Dr. Crowder's Biography

Dr. Richard Crowder graduated with honors from the UMKC School of Dentistry. He was one of only 8 students, in a graduating class of 160, to complete the degree one year early. Dr. Crowder is the Past President of the Kansas State Association of Orthodontists.  Dr. Crowder and his wife, Debbi, have three sons and a daughter.  His home phone number is 733-4343 and you are welcome to call with questions or concerns about your orthodontic treatment.

Our Staff

Dr. Crowder and his staff are a group of highly trained individuals who put your needs first. Our employees go through a 2-4 week orientation before starting in their new position.  Each technician spends time each week, in cross-training.  At Dr. Crowder's office, we have monthly staff meetings and training sessions as well as quarterly retreats where we spend an entire day in training.  Our staff have also recently completed continuing education programs in cities all over the U.S.  So don't hesitate to speak with our staff. We are proud to say they are highly qualified and always glad to answer any questions you might have about your orthodontic treatment at Dr. Crowder's Office.

Reception Area

At Dr. Crowder's office, making our patients feel right at home is our top priority.  We have a special play area for children complete with carpeted walls.  You are welcome to use our hospitality bar, as well as helping yourself to Dr. Crowder's homemade spiced tea,  hot cocoa mixes and Cappuccino machine during cooler weather.  Dr. Crowder's office provides a friendly, home-like atmosphere to make your orthodontic experience with us an enjoyable one.

Your safety is our first and foremost concern.  Our office maintains the highest infection control standards and regulations in methods of sterilization.  We exceed all recommended guidelines in order to provide you with the assurance you deserve.  You can be confident of your safety and health in our office.

Family Visits

If your child is coming to us, why not make it a family affair?  We specialize in comprehensive treatment for children and adults.  In fact, 30 - 40% of our patients are adults over the age of eighteen.
